Paul Chiappa receiving the club championship trophy from club director Bill Bruce below.

After a hugely successful championship year the Scottish Twinshock Scramble Club held it’s annual dinner dance and trophy presentation night at the Ochil View Inn Fishcross Clackmannan on Friday. With the venue a complete sell-out and packed to the rafters all the riders and hangers-on made merry throughout the night to celebrate what has been a superb Twinshock racing year for the Scottish Club. Trophy’s were presented down to sixth place in each class and club director and rider Bill Bruce very kindly offered his services to present the lucky winners with their silverware. Taking the overall club championship trophy for the seventh time of asking was Paul Chiappa, who now retains the much sought after No1 plate for next season from last years winner Walter Bickmore. Although some people at this time last year thought that Paul may never get back to racing after that horrendous accident he sustained at Kincardine in 2006 , but there is a saying that you can’t keep a good man down and Paul certainly proved that to everyone this year as he is back riding as fast and as confident as ever and has been more than a worthy club champion for 2007. The next gathering of the Scottish Club is their annual AGM which is to be held at the Stables Lounge Crook of Devon near Kinross on the 25th November when all the shouting and bawling will begin at 2.30pm, all interested parties are invited to come along and air their views for any improvements, or indeed any other business they need to discuss for 2008. The rest of the lucky silverware winners for 2007 were….
