SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP 2007

Riders Bulletin

Welcome to a new Scottish Championship in what looks like being an exciting year!

TRANSPONDERS

All clubs are now exclusively using transponders for Scottish Championship events. You must have one if you wish to score Scottish Championship points. These can be bought from SACU (01506 858354) Make sure they are fully charged!

 PHOTOGRAPHER

Nick Douglas has agreed to be the official YMX photographer for 2006. If you have any special photos you want taken, speak to Nick.

 PRESS REPORTS/PR

Vicky Smith will do reports for all rounds of the YMX Scottish Championship. If you have any stories of note or any relevant information, speak to her. Vicky will send the report to TMX, and local papers. She will also endeavour to gain TV and radio coverage for each round. Make sure you and your bike looks good – you never know when the TV cameras might pop up!

 CHILD PROTECTION

Shirley Inglis will be our Child Protection Officer. Any relevant concerns should be reported to either the Clerk of the Course on the event, or direct to Shirley.

 COMMENTATOR

It has been suggested that we use a commentator as the adults do. We are pursuing this at the moment, to find a suitable person. Any suggestions speak to myself.

 POINTS

Vicky Smith will be Points Recorder for 2007. Any queries about points should be sent to Vicky at jvs@ballindarg.freeserve.co.uk  Points will be posted on the youth section of  www.scottishmotocross.co.uk

 PROBLEMS/COMPLAINTS

Mike Askins has volunteered to take care of any issues. He can be contacted on mike.askins@btinternet.com  Alternatively you can talk to any YMX committee member.

 SPONSORSHIP

Thanks to Chris Pohlen’s efforts we have a new sponsor on board for the YMX Scottish Championship. A warm welcome to ‘The McClurg Group’ and our thanks for their support.

In addition we continue to pursue further sponsorship and hope that a positive outcome will benefit our sport.

 TEAM EVENT SWEDEN .

4th/5th August. We would like to take a Scottish Team to this event if possible. There is no limit on numbers but it is only for 85cc and 125cc youths. We would like to get an idea of numbers at the moment so that we can look at some sponsorship deals. Eg ferries. Come and  speak to me if you are interested. Or you can email me at jvs@ballindarg.freeserve.co.uk

Wishing you all the success you wish for yourself !!

Jim Smith

YMX Scotland Chairman.
