| This is your chance to own some of the best motocross memorobilia ever offered in an online auction, and help an amazing little girl at the same time. The little lady in question is Stephanie Rose Hughes, and she is the most wonderful, sweet, and bubbly seven year old you are ever likely to meet. Like the rest of her family, Mum Delha, Dad Stephen, and her nine year old brother, Steph loves motocross. They are a wonderful family, and have been through a great deal of heartache over the last three years. Stephanie, although she appears to be a healthy seven year old, has five tumours in the centre of her brain. These tumours are called Hypothalamic Astrocytoma, which in time develop into Russells Diencephalic Syndrome. There are only eight cases of this very rare condition in the U.S., and Stephanie is the only know case in the U.K. Her first tumour occured shortly after her fourth birthday and was bought under control. Unfortunately, another four have developed. Because of their location it is impossible to remove these tumours surgically - they can only be treated with Radio or Chemo Therapy. Hopefully this will result in the same successfull outcome as with the original one. The motocross community have joined forces in a bid to help raise money to help Stephanie and her family through this harrowing experience yet again. Some of the fantastic items on offer are: The actual race shirt worn by Andrew McFarlane at the 2005 British GP Race shirt and pants worn by Josh Coppins during 2005 Maxxis British MX Champs Race shirt and pants worn by Ben Townley at the 2005 British GP Signed Stuart Flockhart race shirt, pants and gloves Signed "Fast Eddy" race shirt An official MX1 World Championship shirt signed by Stefan Everts, Joel Smets, Josh Coppins, Ben Townley, Stephen Sword, Jussi Vehvilainen, Tyla Rattray, Billy MacKenzie, James Noble, Paul Cooper & Carl Nunn, plus a host of ex-champions including Harry Everts, Eric Geboers, Michaele Rinaldi & Alex Puzar. Plus other items Please note: No fees or comission whatsoever are being charged on this aution, so every penny of the winning bid will go to help this amazing litttle girl and her family. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All of the above items are being auctioned on a new auction site set up by the Britmx team. The first auction will go online at 8pm on Wednesday 24th August, with a new auction added each day at the same time. Each auction will run for just 2 weeks. Anyone who has used ebay will be immediately at home on the new Britsell site, which runs in very much the same way. Once registered, you will also be able to place your own items for auction if you wish, with lower fees than ebay and a targeted off-road audience. If you are organising an auction to raise money for charity or a good cause you could enjoy completely free listing of the items on Britsell, with no commision charges. Our opinion is that if people involved in sport wish to raise money to help others then we are 100% behind them, and find it incredulous that some companies wish to profit from their endeavours. It is for this reason that we do not make any charges for this type of auction listing. If you wish to make auction listings for charity, please contact us by e-mail, giving brief details, and we will contact you to make special arrangements for all fees to be waived.
