Carse, Ardersier
Home track for Highland motox clubSeveral rounds of the Bridgestone Scottish motocross championship are being held at Ardersier this year, and with good reason. Ardersier is without doubt one of the best tracks to race on and spectate at in Scotland. With a large paddock area and top quality track, it's definitely worth the trip north whether you're a keen spectator or a mad racer head!

The track has a concrete start with permanent mechanical gate.
Out of the start straight you come into a right hand turn hitting a
table top jump before heading anticlockwise around the track.
There is a good mixture of berms, off camber turns, steep up
hill and down hill sections, table tops and a nice big blind down
hill jump. The soil is a kind of fine sandy dirt that rides best when
slightly damp. There are a few small stones, especially in one of
the new sections, but nothing too serious. The track is graded
and the jumps are re-built prior to every race.
Ardersier motocross track is run by the Highland Motocross Club. Signing on and racing are always well organised affairs that seem to run smoothly. To find out more, the man to speak to is Alan McDonald on 01667453043 or log on to thier website www.highlandmotox.co.uk
Ardersier track is located just off of the A96 between Inverness and Nairn.
Coming from the Nairn direction look out for the sign for the town of Ardersier
on your right. Go past that turning and take the next right. There is normally a
huge sign at the end of the road advertising when a race is on. Follow the road
down through the cross roads and you’ll see the entrance for the track on your right.
