Team Press Release 29th March 2007
Round 2 Safe Access Scottish Championship Elgin.

With the sun shining and blue sky all around the scene was set for an excellent days racing at the superbly prepped circuit. It is a credit to the hard working Grampian Club who took the gamble of running a round of the Safe Access supported championship this year and hopefully see the club return with a round again for next season.

The first race seen Craig trew take second pick of the gate from the on-form Stuart Flockhart with a qualifying time that could be split with the finest of hairs. Round 2 saw the return of Tony Craig to take the challenge on a track that can only be described as his back garden, Craig Trew took the lead on the first lap and proceeded to make his getaway from the chasing pack with Moto one/ Safe Access team-mate Graham Riley down in 5th, only to see the race red flagged during the 6th lap with an injured Tony Craig.

The re-run of race one started with an exchange of elbows from a seemingly disgruntled Stuart Flockhart half way down the start straight resulting in the two riders starting near the back of the pack along with Graham Riley who was caught up in the first corner bunching. Craig fought long and hard throughout the moto to a good point scoring finish in 3rd behind Tony and Stuart, with Graham managing 12th after a couple of crashes.

Race 2 started off at a blistering pace with the track starting to get rough due to the packed schedule the club had proffesionally presented. Craig gated well with all the usual suspects banging bars and fighting for their positions with Graham down around 10th place , on lap 2 Craig cartwheeled over the step down as the riders entered back towards the main circuit arena and knocking himself out for a short while, resulting in a trip to the Hospital. Meanwhile Graham had fought hard with his 'take no prisoners' attitude against the bigger 450 pilots saw the young Cumbrian reward the team with a 3rd place aboard his Moto one/ Safe Access Honda. Young Schoolboy sensation Sean MacDonald managed a very creditable 5th place setting him up for the BYMX at Desertmartin this weekend.

With Craig Trew no doubt enjoying the attentions of the Local infirmary nurses the riders lined up for race 3 with the responsibility of a result sitting on the shoulders of the teams young guns. Graham Riley was the man for the challenge this time around as he ripped the pack apart on his Honda 250f  with dogged determination he seemed to pass the now tired 450 riders with ease as he set about pulling in the fast starting 2nd placed rider Jamie Duncan by some 25 seconds. On the 2nd last lap Graham made his move on the yamaha rider but unfotunately the move didn't stick and resulted in a soil sample for the hard charging pilot. Graham managed to climb back on and finish in 5th, giving him 4th overall on the day and 2nd spot in the Championship behind leader Flockhart.

The team head to Lyng this weekend for round 3 of the Brittish Maxxis Championship, seeing the return of the 'Beaully Battler' Ricky Mair after his practice crash last week, and hopefully Craig Trew will also make the start gate as the hard working Newton Stewart rider and his equally hard working father don't like to miss any of the action, along with Tony Craig as he continues his return to fitness.

The Schoolboy team of Sean MacDonald ( premier ), Ewan McLaren ( bw85 ), and Matthew Fleming ( sw85 )  are heading to Dessertmartin in N.Ireland for the first round of the B.Y.M.X Championship.

The second round of the championship seen Ricky Mair take his first point of the Championship in Mx2, with Craig Trew  Mx1 adding to his tally from the previous round at Canada Heights. Young Cumbrian Graham Riley failed to make the main races in the ultra competitive Mx2 class with a qualifying time that would have safely seen him through to the main Mx1 races.Craig Trew in action
Ricky Mair set about qualifying after the previous rounds dissapointment with a different attitude and it was plain to see on the track that the Beauly battler was going to make the cut this time around. The first race Ricky had a bad start and pulled through passing some of the Championship regulars on his way to a creditable 23rd place on the slick surface.
Race 2 saw the Terrier gate towards the back of the field and after some bar banging and a crash he got the better of Relentless Suzuki rider Jamie Law to lift the final point in 20th place. Craig Trew started slowly in the 1st moto but after working hard in his customary never give in attitude seen his efforts reward the team with an 18th place aboard his Moto One/ Safe Access Honda.
Race 2 Craig  managed one place better with a 17th as he continues to improve on the big stage.

Graham Riley set about the support races with a first race 3rd and after challenging for the lead late in Moto 2 crashed just before the whoop section and Dnf-ing out of the race.

The team head for Lyng on the 8th of April for round three where the track is sand and will be better suited to the riders.
