Breaking news - Scottishmx Clubs are to affiliate with MCFederation for 2012 Following careful consideration of the future of Motocross in Scotland it was decided yesterday evening, 30th December, at a meeting of representatives of the majority of the current event organisers, that a new direction was needed to secure the future of Scottish Motocross. Scottish Adult Championship contender Tony Craig has been signed up by Glasgow motorcycle dealer Mickyoates Motorcycles. "Tony at the moment is our No 1 rider, we will be helping him throughout the year, supplying him with Answer clothing, Sidi boots, One Industries helmets, Acerbis plastics  and various other items.Alan and Ian Reid at MXM will also be supplying Tony with his Graphics for the yearTony will also be given help from many of his close friends.I’m sure that on board a Honda he will have a better chance of winning the Scottish Championship".

SYMCC cancel this weekends club round on the 4th April due to bad weather.

New Tintomoto Park website www.tintomoto.com up and running, keep an eye on it for more infomation as they move towards opening.

Balmullo will be open for practice next week 23rd, 24th, 25th & 26th March on the lead upto the BYMX at leuchars for anyone wanting or needing some quality practice time.

The track will be open at 10am till 6pm and will be graded before and inbetween these dates. Toilet facilites will be available at the track. Overnight camping will be allowed from the Tuesday night onwards - please note, no overnight parking on Monday. Price £20 per/day.

Paul Chiappa turns the half century

With more than 35 years of motocross racing to his credit Scottish Motocross rider and seven times Scottish Twinshock racing champion Paul Chiappa celebrated his 50th birthday with a few friends at his local watering hole, read the full story here.....

Scottish Motocross mourns rider- Walter "Watty" Young died after an incedent at Tain motocross track on Saturday 28th Nov while out praticing. Fellow motox riders have been shocked by this news, Walter who was a regular at Doune practice track was a well liked and very popular rider, friends and fellow riders have been leaving their respect to Watty here..... Scottishmotocross would also like to send their condolences to his family and friends. His funeral will take place this coming Saturday, more details here.... RIP Watty.

Ross Rutherford (Mickey Oates Honda)lifts this years 2009 Scottish Adult Championship during a thrilling final round at Leuchars track, Ross won the first race, which saw one of his closest rivals, Stuart Flockhart (Team TWMA)take a tumble which put him out of the remaining races. Tony Craig (Dennis Irvine KTM)pushed hard all weekend, but couldn't match Ross until the last race which was too late as Ross's 4th place finish was enough to lift the title by 7 points! The McLeod sisters went down to Wilsden last weekend for the Girls Nationals over two days and both came away as champions. Hannah had six straight wins and Tara had four wins and two seconds for a great weekend representing Scottish MotoCross - well done girls!!
