David Lawson sent in this info Regarding the old 1974 photograph.
I competed that day.The event was held at Sorn in Ayrshire.
The club held a trial in the morning and scramble in the afternoon.
It was my first meeting,I didn't enjoy the trial, but enjoyed my fist win
from the scramble race, and proudly display my first ever trophy in my
living room.
I can confirm the riders in the picture :-
Top row No 5 Stephen Bickmore, No 7 Sam Sibbald.
Middle row No 11 Michael Lawson.
Bottom row No 16 John Hopkins, No 17 Graeme Leith,
No 20 David Lawson.
Scary it was 34 years ago. Happy to say I am competing at Melville m/x
next weekend (sadly possibly my last meeting).
